The LZW36 Inovelli Fan + Light Switch (Red Series) is a Z-Wave enabled smart switch that works with many different hubs and gateways and allows remote control from anywhere in the world. It touts a ton of features including energy monitoring, RGB notifications, Z-Wave scene control, configuration from the switch itself, and individual control of the both the fan motor and fan light.

Features

  3. 3-Way, 4-Way (Multi-Switch) Compatibility: Does not work in a 3-Way or Multi-Switch setting (we will launch a remote to solve this)

Advanced Settings

NOTE: To adjust the animations on a controller that does not have a device handler/driver, please use the values found on this site: http://calculator.inovelli.com (click on the, "Notifications" tab and select the one you'd like -- then select the, "Configuration Value")

Depending on the version, this switch supports many advanced settings as shown below. Please reach out for the latest firmware file if you'd like to upgrade your firmware (NOTE: this requires a special tool that needs to be purchased separately unless your Hub supports Over-the-Air upgrades).

Light Parameters
  1. Dimming Speed: How fast or slow the light turns on (or dims) when you hold the switch (ie: dimming from 10-20%, 80-60%, etc)
  2. Dimming Speed (Z-Wave): How fast or slow the light turns on (or dims) when you adjust the switch remotely (ie: dimming from 10-20%, 80-60%, etc)
  3. Ramp Rate:  How fast or slow the light turns on when you press the switch 1x to bring from On to Off or Off to On
  4. Ramp Rate (Z-Wave):  How fast or slow the light turns on when you bring your switch from On to Off or Off to On remotely
  5. Minimum Dim Level: Minimum level the light switch will dim to
  6. Maximum Dim Level: Maximum level the switch will dim to
  7. Invert Switch: Inverts the switch (Tap Down = On, Tap Up = Off)
  8. Auto-Off Timer: Automatically turns the switch off after x seconds
  9. Default Level (Local): Default dim level for the switch when pressed locally (at the switch)
  10. Default Level (Z-Wave):  Default dim level for the switch when powered on via a Z-Wave command
  11. State After Power Restored:  Switch will remember the last on/off and dim level prior to losing power
  12. LED Indicator Color: This will set the default color of the LED Bar
  13. LED Indicator Intensity: This will set the intensity of the LED Bar (ie: how bright it is)
  14. LED Indicator Intensity (When Off): This is the intensity of the LED bar when the switch is off
  15. LED Strip Effect: This will allow you to add some sweet effects to your LED bar (ie: pulse, chase, solid, etc)
  16. LED Indicator Timeout: Changes the amount of time the RGB Bar shows the dim level if the LED Bar has been disabled
  17. Active Power Reports: The power level change that will result in a new power report being sent (% of previous report)
  18. Periodic Power & Energy Reports: Time period between consecutive power and energy reports being sent (in seconds)
  19. Energy Reports: The energy level change that will result in a new energy report being sent (% of previous report)
Fan Parameters

How about Alexa or Google Home?
Smart speakers are NOT Z-Wave hubs so they won't work directly with any Z-Wave devices. But you can use a compatible Z-Wave hub with smart speaker integration to control your dimmer with voice control. These include the Fibaro hubs, Hubitat, SmartThings, Vera, and Wink.
