FAQ's: Button Mapping for Scene Control

FAQ's: Button Mapping for Scene Control

Summary (TLDR)

Below you'll find the various button mappings for our products. These mappings will help you setup your scenes (ie: 2x Tap, 3x Tap, etc) from within your hub.

The following products have scene control built in:
  1. VZM31-SN - Blue Series 2-1 Switch (On/Off & Dimmer)
  2. LZW30-SN - Red Series On/Off Switch
  3. LZW31-SN - Red Series Dimmer Switch
  4. LZW36 - Red Series Fan/Light Switch
  5. LZW45 - Red Series Lightstrip & Controller Kit
  6. NZW30-S - Gen 1 On/Off Switch w/Scenes
  7. NZW31-S - Gen 2 Dimmer Switch w/Scenes

How to Interpret the Button Mapping Charts

Below you'll see a series of charts that will let you know how to program your switch via the hub using buttons. An example would be if you wanted to double tap up on your light switch to activate a scene. Using this example, you can go to figure 1.1 - Red Series On/Off Switch Button Mapping Chart and you'll see that, "Button 2" = Double Tap. Since you want to use the top of the paddle to activate this scene, you would then select, "Pushed" (whereas if you wanted to use the bottom of the paddle, you would select, "Held").

All hubs that support scene control will use the verbiage from within the charts (ie: Button #, Pushed or Held).
